Unable to “desync” guest from host clock

This post was originally published on this site

I’m having trouble de-syncing my guest from host clock, even after taking all steps I can find to do so.  (Using Workstation 15.5 Pro (on Win 10))

Note:  I can see time is aleady synced at the BIOS, even before the OS starts, so it seems not to be an issue with the guest OS fetching the time via ntp or something else.

My settings:

“Sync Guest time with host”  is NOT checked  — and I have all the VMX overrides in place referenced that I can find documented.

This is in the system log showing they VMX overrides are being seen:   (Note — I also tried with “FALSE” — same result)
