After upgrading to VMware 7.0, Backup exec 16 cannot connect to neither ESXi hosts nor VCenetre server. The error messages are “The server was unable to complete the requested operation.” and “Possible cause: cannot connect to VCenter or ESXi host”.

I checked DNS settings and even changed passwords to a simple one (all based on Symantec posts). Even with wrong passwords, the error is the same. I think VMware has changed Firewall access rules.
